Star Control: Origins Fleet Battles Beta Begins Today

Stardock celebrates the 25th anniversary of Star Control II with a new beta for Star Control: Origins.

Stardock released the first beta of Fleet Battles for Star Control: Origins today. The Fleet Battles beta is only available for folks who pre-order Star Control: Origins. The beta also features a Ship Crafting system that allows players to design their own ships, for use in Fleet Battles, and share them online. Players can download any ship designed by other players and engage in battle with enemy fleets.

The final version of the game is expected to release next Summer. Users can pre-order Star Control: Origins now at a discounted price and receive instant access to the Fleet Battles beta.
