It's been a big fortnight for soccer (football) fans and mobile game enthusiasts: not only has EA Sports revealed the latest season in the company's FIFA Mobile series, those who prefer Konami's take on the sport are also being treated to the all-new mobile edition of Pro Evolution Soccer in the aptly-titled PES 2018 Mobile.

This latest version of the mobile series will be introducing a number of soccer legends into the fold, most notably including David Beckham, the celebrity athlete turned fashion model/perfumer. While they aren't available as of the time of writing, Konami plans on introducing a number of other high-profile players into the mix, including Ian Rush, Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, and Diego Maradona.

PES 2018 Mobile is also introducing players to the revolutionary new Friend feature, which, as might be divined through the title, allows players to add their friends and then play matches with them. Yes, it took this long to bring friend-based multiplayer to the game, but it's here now, and that's all that matters, right?

There's more than just new faces in the game, too: PES 2018 Mobile has a number of new features and tweaks, including the updated Data Pack with fresh information on teams, coaches, and players, including player portraits, as well as half-price contract renewels, overhauled graphics and audio, and new controls for chip and controlled shots.

As always, players can find more information about the game through the official PES 2018 Mobile website. The game is available as a free-to-play title over on Apple App Store as well as the Google Play Store.
