Square Enix Montreal has its target in its sights. That target is Android, as the studio announced on Friday morning that Hitman Sniper would be available for all Android users for free.

For those unfamiliar with Hitman Sniper, Shacknews had an opportunity to try it out a couple of years ago prior to E3 2015. The idea is to rack up quick times and high scores by taking out Agent 47's targets in the most discreet of fashions. The idea is to rack up quick times and high scores by taking out Agent 47's targets in the most discreet of fashions. The entirety of the game takes place from Agent 47's sniper scope, with the idea to eliminate targets quickly, but without being spotted. The game has been significantly updated since its 2015 release, receiving free updates tied to other Square Enix games like Just Cause 3 and also getting a special Zombie Survival mode.

Still need a refresher? Check out the trailer below. Hitman Sniper normally goes for a paltry 99 cents, but it's hard to argue with a price tag of zero cents. Those who are interested can pick it up from the Google Play store from now through next Friday.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
