Awesome Games Done Quick 2018 Schedule Released

There's no Super Metroid this time, but it looks like Awesome Games Done Quick 2018 will be stacked with speedrunning goodness, regardless.

Awesome Games Done Quick 2018 is prepared to blaze through a week's worth of games to help raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. On Wednesday morning, the event organizers released the full AGDQ 2018 schedule.

As noted a few weeks ago, speedrunning event mainstay Super Metroid did not make the cut for AGDQ 2018, marking the first time that Samus' SNES adventure will sit out a GDQ week. The final day of the week will, instead, focus on a Nintendo block. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past will get a "Randomiser, No Glitches" run, followed by a "No Cape, No Star World Race" for Super Mario World, with the week concluding with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Other noteworthy runs include:

• A Mega Man 1-3 Relay Race, taking place on Friday night (1:30:00, any%)(WhiteHat94, fastatcc, dxtr, coolkid, ColonelFatso, EndySWE, prisi, shoka, Streamline, Zaraki, cyghfer, cassiothird)
• A Left 4 Dead 2 four-person co-op run on Tuesday night (0:58:00, Main Campaigns Co-op)(mr.deagle, The Master, burhác, MrFailzzz)
• A Battletoads Arcade max difficulty run on Wednesday afternoon, for those who enjoy masochistic games get carved right up (0:45:00, Max Difficulty bid war)(PJ)
• A four-person Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island Warpless Race, taking place on Wednesday night (2:00:00, Any% Warpless)(Calco2, Kolthor_TheBarbarian, yamayuu, Poahr)
• An all-bosses Bloodborne run on Saturday afternoon (1:35:00, All Bosses)(heyZeusHeresToast)

The previous Awesome Games Done Quick in January pulled in a total of $6.6 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation through combined viewer donations, in-person donations, cuts of T-shirt purchases from The Yetee, and more. The crew will look to beat that record in 2018 when Awesome Games Done Quick airs from January 7-14 on Twitch.
