Over a near-20 year period, the "Fast and the Furious" movie has amassed a tremendous following and grossed billions of dollars. It's a movie franchise that's still going strong today. In fact, the 9th chapter just got a release date on Wednesday afternoon.

The folks at Psyonix are apparently stoked about the next "Fast and the Furious" movie, too. Following the movie franchise's announcement, Psyonix announced a special collaboration wih Universal to bring two of the series' most well-known vehicles to Rocket League.

The 1970 Dodge Charger and 1999 Nissan Skyline will be made available as Rocket League DLC vehicles. Both the Charger and the Skyline will feature their own components, including custom decals.

This is the second bout of Fast & Furious DLC for Rocket League, with the first coming out for the series' previous movie, "Fate of the Furious." The Fast & Furious DLC is set to ride onto the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions of Rocket League on October 11.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
