Is your densely-populated city covered in smog and pollution? Has it become too difficult to clean up after 3.5 million residents? It's probably time to clean things up and consider getting a little more eco-friendly. That's the idea behind the next Cities: Skylines expansion, as Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order introduce the new Green Cities expansion.

Green Cities will include 350 new assets, many of them of the environmentally-friendly variety. This includes electric vehicles, alternate energy facilities, organic shops, and more. Players will get to play around with three new scenarios and four new policy options to go along with these new additions, while also getting leveled-up specializations for the first time in the game's history.

More information can be found in the trailer below. Look for Cities: Skylines - Green Cities to make its debut on PC on October 19 with a $12.99 price tag. No word on when it will hit the Xbox One version.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
