Later this August, the CoD WW2 private beta will be the biggest thing happening for a couple of days. CoD fans are already fighting to get a code, and many are wondering when the beta release date is on their platform and in their time zone. Today, we’ll give you all the details to help you prepare.

CoD WW2 Beta Code

Currently, the only beta announced for CoD WW2 is the private beta. This means that getting in requires you to secure a code, of which there are minimal options.

The first option to get a CoD WW2 private beta code is to pre-order the game from either the PlayStation Store or the Xbox Live Store. When you do this, you’ll receive instructions to get into the private beta. The downside is that your pre-order is locked in. If you try the private beta and decide that CoD WW2 is not for you, tough luck.

Another option is to pre-order CoD WW2 from an online retailer like Amazon. Amazon will send you an email with a code that you redeem at the CoD WW2 beta site. The beta site will give you a code that you can redeem on your platform of choice. Amazon, however, should not charge you until they ship the game, long after the beta has ended. If you play the beta and enjoy the game, keep your pre-order and you’re all set. If you play the game during the private beta and don’t enjoy it, though, you can cancel the order and shouldn’t be charged.

If you’ve already pre-ordered the game and received a code from the retailer, your next step is to redeem that code at the CoD WW2 beta site linked above.

CoD WW2 Beta Release Date

The CoD WW2 Beta release date varies based on your platform of choice and location. Here is what we know so far:

August 25 at 10 a.m. PDT: PS4 private beta begins
September 1 at 10 a.m. PDT: PS4 and Xbox One private beta begins

Of course, the beta will begin at a different time depending on where you’re located. If you aren’t sure what time 10 a.m. PDT translates to for you, we suggest an online time zone converter.

The hope is that there will be an open beta at some point in the future, but it’s unlikely that big CoD fans are going to want to wait that long.
