Update: EA has made it official. The game is coming to Xbox One and PS4 on November 17. Deluxe Edition and early access also confirmed. The announcement trailer has been added to the bottom of the story.

Here is the obligatory press release quote: "The addition of a console-version of The Sims 4 has been long-awaited by fans and newcomers alike, and we at Maxis are beyond excited to bring The Sims to new platforms,” The Sims 4 Executive Producer Lyndsay Pearson said. "The game delivers a beautiful The Sims experience on console and comes packed with tons of the fan-favorite content, so players can look forward to the unique gameplay, self-expression, and fun that have come to be tentpoles of The Sims brand. The possibilities to play with life are as endless as the players’ creativity."

Original Story: The Sims 4 has been out since 2014, but that hasn't stopped Electronic Arts from continuously pushing out content for the simulated folk living their simulated lives in this simulation of existence. Now, it appears EA will be bringing The Sims 4 to a new console generation.

As spotted by TrueAchievements, it appears that EA is adding Xbox One to the platform list for the game, as an entry for The Sims 4 has been spotted on the Microsoft Store. The page even lists a pre-order special of the Perfect Patio add-on featuring home hot tubs, summer attire and extra decor. The pre-order link is not active yet, but it should be soon, since the game is listed as coming on November 17.

The Sims 4 will also get a Deluxe Party Edition, which gets the Life of the Party, Up All Night, and Awesome Animal Hats DLC. The pre-order bonus is still there, with the added incentive of three days of early access to the game before it officially launches.  No price is listed as yet for either product.

Given that the Xbox One version is out there, it is likely a PS4 version could be in the works. The Sims 3 was available on PS3 and Xbox 360, so it stands to reason that PlayStation players won't be left out in the cold on this one.

EA has not made any official announcements yet, but given that the Sims are now out of the bag, we might get one in the next week or so. As any Sim will tell you, benzi chibna looble bazebni gweb.
