Total War: Warhammer II doesn’t release until September 28, but you can pre-order it today from approved retailers and receive a nice incentive you don’t have to wait that long to enjoy. The bonus will activate in the first Total War: Warhammer game this August.

Creative Assembly has announced the new Norscans race, which will be available in the first game when you either preorder the sequel from an approved retailer, or purchase it within the first week of its availability. The Norsca Race Pack is due to be playable starting on August 10, and allows players to control the barbaric, warmongering northern tribes.

Two new factions are offered as part of the DLC, with unique Legendary Lords leading the charge. There are monster hunt quests and ferocious new units such as War Mammoths and Skin Wolves. Players can construct new towers, as well.

Following the release of Total War: Warhammer II, a free update will allow owners of both games to conquer both the Old World and New as any race from either base game and any purchased DLC. That will include the new Norsca race, with an additional update.

Total War: Warhammer II is available for pre-order right now through Steam, in a standard digital edition that retails for $59.99. If you prefer, you can head buy Total War: Warhammer II online and select the Serpent God edition. It is a limited edition that retails for $149.00 USD, while it is available, and includes an embossed metal case, strategy guide, canvas map, and more.
