Splinter Cell Blacklist walkthrough trailer fights fires

You may know Sam Fisher as a gruff super-spy, but in his home town he's friendly Fireman Sam from the volunteer fire brigade. A new 'walkthrough' trailer for Splinter Cell Blacklist (more the heavily-edited highlights than a walkthrough) shows Sam fighting fires and chasing terrorists, with varying degrees of stealth.

Splinter Cell Blacklist trailer shows off Wii U touchscreen

It's a shame that "augmented reality" in video games is typically used to mean overlaying games on our world, when using controllers to drag us into the game world is more interesting at the moment. Splinter Cell Blacklist will use the Wii U's GamePad as Sam's OpSat PDA to control his gadgets and gizmos, as a new trailer demonstrates.

Ubisoft Toronto collaborating on next, next Assassin's Creed

Ubisoft is positioning its new-ish Toronto studio as one of the big ones, giving the team one of its biggest franchises to play with in Splinter Cell Blacklist. It still has to do the Ubi grunt work of helping with other studios' annual sequels, though. Managing director Jade Raymond confirmed it'll be collaborating with Ubi Montreal on a future Assassin's Creed game, one after AC4: Black Flag.
