For the past decade or so, anyone that has watched one of Geoff Keighley's award shows has had to sit through network-mandated nonsense, forced comedy, and celebrities that would rather be anywhere else. Last night, The Game Awards left all that behind and finally became an award show worth watching.

Mortal Kombat X creator talks Kombat Pack 2, Injustice cameos, and possibility of story DLC

Mortal Kombat X brought an exciting announcement to yesterday's Game Awards with the reveal of the Kombat Pack 2's new characters. Prior to that reveal, creator Ed Boon walked the red carpet and spoke briefly to Shacknews about working with Warner Bros., the possibility of Injustice: Gods Among Us returning the crossover favor, and the potential that future DLC will include new story content.
