A year after making its first Game Developers Conference apperance, Affordable Space Adventures returned with three-player co-op and a release date. Shacknews went hands-on with the game's new co-op aspect, where three people worked to keep a lone piece of space junk afloat.
Affordable Space Adventures strands players on a dangerous planet with the rough equivalent of a space jalopy, but one that's fully controlled with the Wii U GamePad. Shacknews got a chance to go hands-on with the latest from KnapNok Games and Nifflas at this year's Game Developers Conference.
Where do Affordable Space Adventures come from? Well, little Timmy, when Knytt creator Nifflas and Spin the Bottle dev Knapnok like each other very much, they get together and make an exploration game controlled by a heads-down display on the Wii U touchscreen. As you might expect with such a special game-baby, it'll probably stay living on Wii U.
Amidst all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, a little peace and quiet can be welcome. Arriving in the nick of time, Nifflas' charming exploration puzzle-platformer Knytt Underground now has a Wii U release date of December 18. Why get this over the PC, PS3 or Vita versions? Well, it has shiny new bits.
