    It's a beautiful day outside.

I left work early to take my kid to the doctor.

There's a cool breeze going on.

Nothing else I need to do when I get home so I'll just get to relax.

My transmission literally died on the way to pick him up. I told the car to go and the engine went but the wheels didn't.

    Fuuuuuck.

I turned 45 last month and it’s like a switch was flipped, my near vision has just gone to shit. I’m going to have to get two sets of glasses. I really don’t want bifocals.

Anyone here ever given their dog nexguard? The chewable flea and tick med? If not I don't recommend it. I'm pretty sure my dog Fiona is having a negative side effect from it. Specifically ataxia. Two days after giving it to her, her back legs keep giving out like Bambi on ice, she's stumbling around, falling forward, it's fucking awful. The vet of course wouldn't consider it a possibility, even after I told her the FDA claims ataxia is a possible side effect. She said she'd "need to check some vet Facebook groups for more info". So that's reassuring...

At the very least she prescribed Prednisone which if it is ataxia caused by swelling it should help, but she prescribed it because she thinks it's a disc issue or some shit.

This dog went on her weekly nature hike two days before we gave her the meds and had no issues, was "running" around in the yard the day before, as much as an elderly dog can. Then we gave her this shit and now she can't walk for shit, can't even make it up a single step without falling on her ass. I'm no scientist, but come on.

    Sorry just frustrated and ranting.

You don't NEED to, but the X-Movies and Logan are GOOD, and FUN (Just not past DOFP, IMO). Catching up on them is WORTH IT. No one is doing themself any harm watching them and then they get to be in on the history to a (relatively) long running story when you see those callback elements, and Deadpool is FULL OF THEM. You seem to be going way out of your way to dissuade someone from watching arguably entertaining and good movies that will lend themselves to making the latest Deadpool movie even more enjoyable.

"Don't watch the previous movies that are going to be endlessly referred to in a movie like Deadpool, because boo homework" is a really weird take. Someone is going to see a joke or reference with Sabretooth or Lady Deathstrike or Silver Samurai (The possibilities for callback material is near fucking infinite) and there will be a swath of people who don't get it...because boo homework. Having said all this, yeah you might want to weigh whether or not to bite the bullet and watch Wolverine: Origins, but the material will be in a Deadpool movie (as it already has in the past), so that can be considered extra credit if you're willing to put yourself through it.

The MCU movie model is exactly the same as comic books. You read the latest ASM and you go "Holy shit, who is this Venom guy!?!" Before you know it, you're hunting out ASM 300 (for the story, not the raw for THAT price). And then 252. And then Secret Wars 8. Before you know it, you're learning about the awesome history of the Marvel comic universe leading up to that comic you just bought on the shelf. Make no mistake, the model is insidious and meant to infect you and turn you into a media consuming monster, but it's fun and in some areas very much worth it.

The fact that you'd tell someone they don't need to see Logan if they haven't already is frankly a crime and you should be in comic book jail.
