Northern Lights

I had debated about driving out of the city last night for the Aurora.. it looks like I should have done it. Granted the guy who posted it said the colors wasn't really visible to the naked eye.

What's surprising is the didn't even let him sign off, just cancelled him after the fact. Would love to hear about how all that went down over the weekend.

Last night was an incredible show here in Wisconsin. I've seen aurora maybe a couple dozen times in my life, and last night was easily top 3 shows, possibly tied for #1. it was incredible.

I got a couple iphone photos, but last night was the first time I think the show was actually better with the naked eye. It was moving SO fast that any sort of long exposure just turned into "light fog" while to the naked eye it looked basically like a fireplace, just flickering light shooting all across the sky rapidly.

Mondays have been too busy for me to post for a few weeks, so I'm going to offload my recent watchlist(!) -

Mission Impossible 3
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Big Lebowski
Tenebrae
Pet Sematary (1989)
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Suspiria (2018)
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
John Wick 4
The Massive Weight of Unbearable Talent
A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
The Night Comes For Us
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2009, Swedish)
Backdraft
Videodrome
Top Gun: Maverick
Unbreakable
Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade
Demons
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

Lots of rewatches in there; but the new films were Tenebrae (good), Susperia (2018) was a great different take to Dario Argento's original, and Demons was some ridiculously over the top, gory entertainment!

Also, Rocky No Hands is freakin cracked at Apex Legends. Better than me for sure.

It'd be interesting to see if this gives even more options for keybinds in addition to what's already available. Probably not great for aiming.

Skip it. It's by far the worst Marvel movie, and supposedly the Blade movie has been rewritten to remove any references to it.

Ozzie Mejia posted a new article, Sega of America employees form AEGIS labor union

Your Name. - Our Saturday tradition of tripping balls and watching anime continues. Animation wise, this movie is absolutely gorgeous and very well done. We went into it not really knowing much about the plot other than it's about two teenagers who swap places in their dreams. At it's core, it's a love story but the journey is completely wild and unexpected. Something definitely worth watching without digging in too deep beforehand. We absolutely loved it and definitely a favorite so far.

i love SoD2 and play a ton of it every october. a couple years ago i cranked it up to Nightmare difficulty and enjoyed it even more! i haven't braved Lethal yet, but
this is a great playlist teaching you how to handle Nightmare if you're interested https://youtu.be/glX8h3xQxkY

he has lots of other great videos covering what to look for in a base, how to choose the best facilities for you, the value of the various character skills, and on and on. the game can get kinda deep. probably good to just dick around for a bit first and have fun learning the game's offerings and quirks before overwhelming yourself

SoD3 is in active development, but Undead Labs still puts out regular free significant updates for SoD2. there'a a big overhaul to the infestation system coming soon. they're awesome devs and fairly active/responsive on the subreddit
