Undoubtedly, one of the biggest draws of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is its officially-approved canonical story (spoiler: Cybertron falls). But, many others just want to see some hot robot-on-robot violence, and a new multiplayer trailer shows it off.
In the debut trailer for the multiplayer modes, we can see some of the customization features, a brief glimpse of the maps, and plenty of combat. The game launches on August 21. Check out the multiplayer footage below.

High Moon Studios surprised fans when it made a good game out of the Transformers license with War for Cybertron. Two years later, fans are getting a proper sequel--one that appears to end the Cybertron series.
Fall of Cybertron certainly starts with a bang: the destruction of the Autobots' home planet. It's a great narrative hook, one that worked well with Uncharted 2. High Moon makes it immediately clear that Fall of Cybertron will be much darker than its predecessor. While it's a bit odd to see talking robots in such a grave situation, fans are probably eager to know that this game covers such a key part of the franchise's lore.

Activision already has one Transformers game in the pipeline, but what's the harm in another? The company announced Transformers Prime today, a game set on the TV show of the same name. Since it's targeted at a younger audience, the game is slated to come this fall on Nintendo's family of systems: Wii, 3DS, and DS.

Music rarely moves me when paired with footage of giant robots reenacting their favorite scenes from Fight Club, but that doesn't mean it can't look cool.
During the Spike VGAs, High Moon Studios debuted a new trailer for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. In the footage we watch a detailed battle between the Decepticons and Autobots, set to the haunting song 'The Humbling River' by Puscifer. It's no 'Dare to be Stupid,' but it'll do.
