Becoming a fledgling samurai in Shin Megami Tensei 4 sounds pleasant, but what responsibilities does an initiate have? Cleaning shoes? Answering phones? A new gameplay trailer shows a samurai's duties are far more of the 'wearing a cool wrist computer' and 'slaying demons' variety, thankfully.

Aside from the teasers for new Zelda and Mario titles, Nintendo announced a few other franchise surprises during its Nintendo Direct presentation today. Among them, the company revealed a new Wii U Yoshi game, a party game, and a couple of interesting RPGs.

Over 15 years after its debut on Sega Saturn in Japan, Atlus's Shin Megami Tensei spin-off Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is due to finally arrive in North America in the form of a Nintendo 3DS revamp. Soul Hackers hit Saturn in 1997 then PSone in 1999 but never officially launched outside Japan. The revamp is due in spring 2013.
