Still, the sales continue, with the highlight of this weekend's offers at digital distributors being Borderlands 2 pre-orders for only $38. You'll also find Batman: Arkham City for $7, Skyrim for $40, and loads of id Software and Bethesda gubbins on sale.
The summer sales mania has passed, but digital distributors are still offering many hearty deals this weekend. Everyone under the Sun is knocking 75% off Borderlands, while you'll also find Max Payne 3 cheap, along with Darksiders, Metro 2033, Orcs Must Die! and heaps more.
PC games going cheap at digital distributors this weekend include the Crysis series, Sniper Elite V2, Take On Helicopters, Mass Effect 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and simulators for everything from woodcutting to bungee jumping.
Oh sweet mercy, the sales! With summer sales on at Amazon, Green Man Gaming and, yes, Steam, there are more bargains than you can shake a stick at this week. These are the greatest deals you'll see until the holiday season so come on, jump right in!

Way back yonder in 2011, Steam launched the 'Potato Sack' indie bundle, crammed full of hidden references to Portal 2.
