Weekend PC download deals: PAX East edition

It's PAX East weekend, everyone! Those of you out in Boston right now... are lucky people that I'm not jealous of at all. No, sir. But hey, I'm still at the home base and that means I'll be bringing you your PC download deals for this fine weekend. Why? Because those of us that aren't at PAX East need something to do, of course.

Steam is offering a lot of deals this week, led by a bundle of Daedalic games. GameFly Digital is going in on Company of Heroes, while also offering some good deals on Devolver Digital titles. And GamersGate has a pretty good Telltale weekend lined up. Aside from that, though, there aren't many blockbuster sales to be found on this PAX East weekend. You can check out the full list after the break.

Weekend PC download deals: Monaco, Civ V, and more

Welcome to April, everyone! Now that spring is in the air, the best way to soak in all of the sunshine and fresh air... is to stay inside and play through your library of PC games. (Ok, I guess you could take your laptop outside if you absolutely have to venture outdoors.) And there are a lot of PC deals to be found on this Wrestlemania weekend! None of which involve wrestling, because wrestling games aren't on PC, for some reason.

Steam is offering up a free weekend of Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine and also offering it for dirt cheap. GameFly Digital is offering a big sale on Sid Meier's Civilization series, while Green Man Gaming has big deals on the rest of 2K's catalog. All this and more after the break!

Weekend PC download deals: A banner day

It's the last weekend in March, right before April Fools Day. But you know what's no laughing matter? Headers. I put out a call for headers for this very feature and one of you stepped up in a big way. So I'm throwing out a special thanks to Chatty's winterface for creating the banner you see above.

As for the deals, there are a lot of them and many of them are of the BioShock variety. That's to be expected with the new Burial at Sea chapter releasing this week. And then there's Steam, who's throwing out a veritable cornucopia of games, all led by Batman and an amazing $10 price tag for Arkham Origins. Check out the full list of deals after the break.

There are also a greater number of people starting to trickle out for spring break, so there are a greater number of PCs are calling out for their attention. Because playing PC games is the only way to spend a week off.

Thief is already starting to see an increasing number of sales, with Amazon and Green Man Gaming both taking a chunk off the regular price. Get Games is offering up some good Assassin's Creed deals, including a nice sale price for Liberation HD. Weekend PC download deals: Green Edition

We're halfway through the month of March and some of the spring's most anticipated releases have already started to arrive. But there's still more on the way and unless you're looking to get buried under an avalanche of backlogged games, you might want to take a weekend to catch up, thanks to another weekend of amazing deals.

Steam and GameFly Digital are both going in with huge springtime sales, the former of which features a number of cool bundles. Green Man Gaming has a couple of good Namco Bandai games, while Get Games wants to give you free Hotline Miami with your purchase of Shadow Warrior. And GOG is letting you pick five games to save big, as part of its St. Patrick's Day sale. And yes, St. Patrick's Day is this Monday, in case you wanted to know. The full list of deals can be found after the break.

Weekend PC download deals: Spring Forward Edition

If you're looking to spend your whole weekend playing games, you'll probably notice time go by a lot faster than normal. That's because this is the weekend to spring forward and set your clocks one hour ahead. Just remember, if you're committing yourself to your PC games, sleep is ultimately for the weak.

This week, Amazon and Green Man Gaming catch you up on some of Sega's best games (mostly Sonic), while GameFly Digital gets you Rockstar games and Get Games gets you loaded once again with 2K Games. If you're looking for something a little more indie, now's a good time to get Rogue Legacy from Steam for a mere five bucks. Check out the full list of games after the break.

Weekend PC download deals: Oscar weekend edition

The Academy Awards are this weekend. You might recognize it as the award show that always runs about two hours too long and makes you wonder why you're bothering to watch one of the world's most boring award show. I can't imagine Ellen DeGeneres is about to change that, either, so I guess this weekend is a prime opportunity to catch up with your PC games.

The nominees for Best Bundles are Amazon for its Rockstar sale, GameFly Digital for its free Spec Ops: The Line with purchase of already-discounted 2K Games titles, Green Man Gaming for its 2K Essentials Bundle, and Humble for their Indie Bundle. And the nominees for Best Publisher Sale are Amazon for Rockstar, GameFly Digital for 2K, Gamestop for Sega, and Humble for Deep Silver. Check out the full list of deals after the break.

Weekend PC download deals: Thief pre-order deals and more

It's hard to believe, but we're already nearing the end of February. I know, the first two months of 2014 have already passed! And that means that some major game releases are around the corner. On top of offering some deals on previous game releases, there are also some notable pre-order offers to take a look at, as well.

GameFly Digital and Green Man Gaming are both fighting tooth and nail to sell pre-orders of Thief, which arrives next week. Both are offering deals in excess of 30% off. While you're there, you can check out GameFly's sports sale and GMG's massive collection bundles. Meanwhile, Steam is offering up Call of Duty: Ghosts for half-off and a free weekend, while Get Games is getting you loaded on Ubisoft games. Check out the full list of deals after the break.

Weekend PC download deals: President Valentine's Weekend Edition

Valetine's Day kinda stinks, doesn't it? If you're single, you have to put up with couples showing off their happiness and loving bliss. Meanwhile, if you do have a Valentine, you wind up missing things like the Titanfall beta. But the light at the end of the tunnel is that this is a three-day weekend, thanks to it also being President's Day weekend, and that means you can get your fill of PC games in before going back to the grind on Tuesday.

GameFly Digital is offering up Company of Heroes 2, Wargame: Airland Battle, and Batman: Arkham Origins at special discounts, while just about every retailer has a major Valentine's Day sale going on, just to remind you that it is, in fact, Valentine's Day. The big ones are coming from Amazon, GamersGate, and Steam. And speaking of Steam, you might have heard that they're letting you play both Witcher games for a free weekend. Check out our full list of deals after the break.

Shack PSA: Dungeon Keeper free on GOG

Shack PSA: Dungeon Keeper free on GOG

While the latest Dungeon Keeper may not be at all what you want, a free-to-play mobile game with microtransactions up the wazoo, hey, what's the harm--the original still exists, right? Indeed it does, and now it's briefly free for everyone to download and play (no microtransactions, either) on GOG.

Weekend PC download deals: Battlefield, Borderlands, and more

I'm as patriotic as the next guy, but am I the only one that finds it hard to get excited by the Winter Olympics? Maybe I'm just the wrong audience for something like curling or the luge. Maybe I'll get excited for Olympic men's hockey, but we're at least a week away from that. So I guess this is a good weekend to catch up with your PC games.

GameFly Digital is celebrating all things Battlefield and LEGO by discounting games in both series. Sadly, they're not pushing for a LEGO Battlefield game, which would be pretty awesome. Meanwhile, Get Games and Green Man Gaming are both celebrating the last couple of years with big Borderlands 2, BioShock Infinite, and Batman: Arkham Origins sales. Humble Bundle feeds you all the Sid Meier and Double Fine that you can handle. And Steam is giving you a free Borderlands 2 weekend, while trying to scare the pants off of you with Outlast. The full list of deals can be found after the break.

Green Man Gaming is offering free Rome: Total War with purchase of a select Sega game. And Steam has put up the Splinter Cell franchise on sale, with a sprinkling of Kingdoms of Amalur and Guacamelee on the side. Check out the full list of deals after the break.

Weekend PC download deals: Total War declared

You may want to sit down for this one, football fans. There are no games this weekend. I know, it's hard to accept. Some people are even making up stories about some fictional, imaginary all-star game that's supposedly being played this weekend. A football game in Hawaii? That's just crazy! You're crazy, delusional football fan! So with no football to take up your time this weekend, I guess you can focus more of your time on some great PC games.

GameFly Digital is covering a large section of the Total War front, offering a vast majority of the Total War series at a discounted rate, including a full package. It's missing Total War: Rome II, but you'll be able to get that at a good rate from GamersGate. Meanwhile, Amazon and Gamestop both have Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, in case you haven't caught up with that one. And Amazon and Steam are both offering good deals on The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. Check out the full list of deals after the break.
