Section 8: Prejudice 'Assault' mode unlocked

Section 8: Prejudice has just gotten a new game mode fueled by players' bloodlust. "Assault Mode" is a team-versus-team control point mode with a time limit. Developer TimeGate says it encourages cooperation between the classes to finish your objectives fast. The mode is now included and unlocked, so no DLC is required.

The Assault mode was set to unlock when the PC and Xbox 360 audiences scored a combined 10 million kills. The impressive feat happened in just over two weeks, so now current and new players alike can enjoy the fruits of their murderous labor. Read more »

Section 8: Prejudice issues title update

Section 8: Prejudice is barely a week old, and already TimeGate has issued its first title update for Xbox Live Arcade. The patch addresses a variety of stability bugs, along with usability tweaks to several of the menus.

The team is also using hot-fixes on their end to respond to community feedback, allowing two-player Ranked Swarm matches, and increasing the chance that you'll get placed with friends or Xbox Live Party members when the game auto-balances the teams. Read more »

Section 8: Prejudice dedicated server rentals available for Xbox 360

Section 8: Prejudice for the Xbox 360 lets you play online using standard Microsoft servers like any other Xbox Live Arcade game, but if you're extremely devoted to your Section 8 experience, you can now rent dedicated servers. TimeGate Studios announced a partnership with GameServers to let players check out dedicated servers for up to 32 players. You can make the servers ranked or unranked, and customize gameplay settings, maps, modes, and difficulty levels. The feature is an unusual one for consoles, since dedicated servers are usually PC-only, or tailored by the publishers on consoles. Read more »
