It's hard to find a more epic and storied match-up than Batman and the Joker. Throughout the franchise's history, the Clown Prince became the yang to Batman's yin, and despite an embarrassing mohawked boss battle in Arkham Asylum, we're excited to see Mark Hamill reprise the role for Arkham City. Maybe that's why this new trailer, complete with adversarial Bat-banter, gets us so excited.

Batman: Arkham City has no shortage of fashionable looks for our favorite flying mammal-based superhero. But as we often find in bonuses like these, you'll have to choose your store wisely to get the ones you want. Among the bevy of incoming skins is one based on the highly regarded 90s animated series, but you'll need a GameStop PowerUp membership to parade around Arkham looking like a cartoon.

Rocksteady has already provided more Batman: Arkham City rogue's gallery reveals than you can shake a batarang at, but it seems that they aren't done yet. Today the studio took the wraps off Deadshot, the self-proclaimed "world's greatest assassin." He'll be one of the side-missions that shows off Batman's array of skills, as the Dark Knight has to track him down and figure out the motivations behind his assassination targets.

While developer Rocksteady has yet to show off any gameplay footage of the Boy Wonder in action, Robin will be a playable character in its upcoming Batman: Arkham City. Rocksteady's Dax Ginn describes Batman's partner-in-heroism as an "explosions specialist," making him play very differently to Batman. "It's not a case that we've just reskinned him," he said.

It shouldn't come as any surprise that the highly-anticipated Batman: Arkham City is also getting the special edition treatment. The Collector's Edition will come alongside the game for $99, and will be available on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. As with any collector's edition, the real question is what goodies are meant to tempt you into spending that extra forty dollars?

The world painted by Rocksteady in Batman: Arkham City is all about taking familiar Batman characters and making them a few shades darker. In the case of a wacky puzzle-obsessed villain like the Riddler, that involves making him a lot more murdery than usual, as a new trailer from European site PC Guru can attest.
Riddler takes a distinctly slasher film vibe in this trailer, setting up elaborate death traps for innocent civilians, and daring Batman to prove he's smart enough to save them. It's twisted, but it makes enough sense for a lunatic narcissist. Check out the trailer below to see for yourself. Read more »
