Qore, PS3's monthly digital video game "magazine," has abruptly ended. The April 2012 issue, which debuted on the PlayStation Store yesterday, will be the last issue ever produced.
The magazine was produced in conjunction with Future, which has been struggling as of late. It's unclear why production was suspended, but it's likely the company's shaky finances contributed to Qore's downfall.

The weekly update to the North American PlayStation Store has arrived, delivering a wealth of digital goods to PlayStation 3 and PSP, including some freebies.

In advance of today's PlayStation Store update, Sony has reminded everyone that those with an annual subscription to its online PlayStation 3 video magazine Qore are guaranteed access to the upcoming beta test for Zipper's 256-player shooter MAG.
The beta is slated to kick off September 17, with the full game due January 26, 2010.

It's a monster of a PlayStation Store update today, with a downloadable demo of Batman: Arkham Asylum and the third map pack for Call of Duty: World at War among today's various additions to the PlayStation 3's online marketplace.

It's the highest-profile update to Sony's online marketplace since last week: Kojima Productions' Metal Gear Solid 4, which is no doubt a PlayStation 3 exclusive, has emerged in demo form. Players who haven't taken a shot at Hideo Kojima's cinematic stealth-action magnum opus are highly encouraged to do so.

Only those that have previously purchased a $24.99 annual subscription to Sony's downloadable PS3 video magazine Qore will receive an invite to the closed beta for SCE London's PS3 social networking application Home, the company has clarified.

PlayStation Home, the interactive social network and ad space for the PlayStation 3, is about open up to beta participants for the low, low price of $2.99.
That price will buy Episode 6 of Qore, Sony's downloadable video magazine, which will pack access to the Second Life-inspired virtual space for virtual lifestyles, according to PS3 Fanboy. Annual subscribers will also get access to Home. Read more »

The latest update to the PlayStation 3's digital storefront sees the debut of the August edition of Sony's digital magazine Qore, along with new details concerning paid access to the upcoming beta program for Insomniac Games' shooter sequel Resistance 2.
Those gamers who buy an annual subscription to the digital magazine will be offered early access to the beta, scheduled to kick off in the near future. Single episode purchasers, meanwhile, will be guaranteed access at an undisclosed later date. Qore is priced at $2.99 per issue, or $24.99 for an annual subscription. Read more »

Update: Insomniac Games has informed Shacknews that Qore represents "only one way into the public [Resistance 2] beta," which is planned for worldwide availability.
"There will be many ways in, including a pre-order program we'll announce soon that will grant the
