Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Rabbit will join forces on November 18, Disney Interactive announced today at E3, confirming the console release date for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. It also blasted out an E3 trailer, with more snippets of their animated animal adventures.

When I previewed Epic Mickey 2 two weeks ago, there was plenty to talk about--cooperative play, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and support for multiple platforms. Developer Warren Spector also gushed about the music and the songs.

Def Jam Rapstar faces legal wrath of EMI

Music giant EMI isn't happy with the makers of Def Jam Rapstar. And when companies can't resolve their differences ... yeah, court battle.

EMI filed suit in New York federal court last week alleging that developer Terminal Reality and publisher 4mm Games failed to get the proper authorization to use many of the songs in the rap karaoke game, including songs by Kanye West and Lil Wayne, among others.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution soundtrack infiltrating stores Nov. 15

Arranging "close to 200 pieces of music," Deus Ex: Human Revolution composer Michael McCann has paired down his work on the title into a 25 track soundtrack, available on November 15.

The soundtrack will be available as a digital download on iTunes and Amazon and in physical media form from Sumthing Else Music Works worldwide.

Play for Japan album available on iTunes

Play for Japan album available on iTunes

The long-awaited charity album released under the Play for Japan banner arrived on iTunes over the weekend, offering 18 tracks from some of the industry's best with all proceeds going to benefit the people of Japan.

Organized by one of the album's featured artists, renowned composer Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill, Shadows of the Damned), Play for Japan: The Album also features music from Koji Kondo (Mario, Legend of Zelda), Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), Bear McCreary (SOCOM 4, Battlestar), and more.

"I'm so proud to share this with videogame and music fans, thanks to the hard work of friends and fellow composers from around the world," Yamaoka said in a press release. "With so many diverse artists and styles featured, this truly is a global effort towards a worthwhile cause."
