The Mortal Kombat movie teased last year will have a budget of approximately $40-50 million, according to studio sources. Warner Bros has now officially talked about the reboot, along with the return of Mortal Kombat Legacy director Kevin Tancharoen to helm the movie.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy is returning for a second season. The popular web series began as a short film, but was rolled into a series to accompany the release of last year's Mortal Kombat series reboot.
"It's going to be about the actual Mortal Kombat tournament this time," said Kevin Tancharoen in the announcement trailer. "A lot of people were expressing their opinions on wanting to see more fighting, more action, more visual effects, so we really took that to heart."
