Though it's a long way from completion, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding Marvel Heroes, the upcoming free-to-play MMORPG based on the Marvel Universe. Beta invites have started rolling out, and we got in touch with Gazillion studio director Jeff Lind to learn more about their massive interpretation of the Marvel Universe.

Gazillion Entertainment's revived Marvel MMO will be powered by Epic's popular game engine. According to the developer, Marvel Heroes will utilize the Unreal 3 game engine to power the upcoming title.

Originally planned as a Microsoft platform-exclusive MMO before being shelved, the game previously known as Marvel Universe was taken over by Gazillion following Cryptic's departure from the project.
