Pikmin 2 and Mario Power Tennis coming to Wii this June

The Wii software library is pretty much on life support right now. So, what will power the respirator? Gamecube, of course.

Nintendo has announced two new additions to the Wii library. Coming June 10th are Wii re-releases of two Gamecube classics: Mario Power Tennis and Pikmin 2. Best of all, they join the "Nintendo Selects" line, meaning they'll be available for $19.99 each.

Mario Tennis Open lets you play Super Mario Bros. in a new way

The original Super Mario Bros. is nearly 27 years old. Yet, Nintendo continues to come up with new ways of remixing the iconic 8-bit classic. The legendary platformer is making yet another appearance--this time, in Mario Tennis Open for 3DS.

Nintendo's latest entry in the long-running Mario Tennis franchise includes a "Special Games" mode that adds new tennis gimmicks. Super Mario Tennis, for example, lets you replay levels from the NES game using tennis swings.

Mario Tennis Open hits 3DS on May 20

The previously-teased Mario Tennis game for 3DS now has a title and a date. Mario Tennis Open will be available on May 20th. The latest iteration of the long-running sports franchise is being developed (once again) by Camelot, the team responsible for the original Mario Tennis on N64.
