Nintendo has shed more light on the vague mention of multiplayer in Luigi's Mansion today. The multiplayer modes apparently focus on cooperative ghost-hunting in the "ScareScraper," a tower full of paranormal creatures.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon delayed to 2013

Nintendo just announced a bevy of portable titles set to hit this holiday season. Apparently the company decided it's full-up enough on 3DS games to push back some others, as the announcement also carried word that Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon would be hitting in 2013 instead.

Luigi's Mansion 3DS renamed 'Dark Moon'

Nintendo has renamed Luigi's Mansion for 3DS, to "Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon." With a short gameplay video at its E3 press briefing, the company announced that the game is slated to release this holiday season.

Luigi's Mansion 2 for Wii U spotted at retail

Luigi's Mansion 2 was revealed as a 3DS game last year, a long-awaited return to one of Nintendo's cult hits. While the game is scheduled for release this year, we've heard nary a peep about it since its reveal. A new retail listing suggests Nintendo may be putting the game on Wii U, either as an additional platform a wholesale move.

Nintendo strategically holding back 3DS games

Nintendo's 3DS slate has been fairly light since launch, but heavy hitters, such as Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7, should help bolster the library this holiday season. While Nintendo could release more games on the platform this year, company president Satoru Iwata says they've strategically kept some games out of 2011 to maximize their sales potential.
