A downloadable demo will arrive on PlayStation 3 next week so you can see if all that anticipation pays off, or if you've wasted your time and your life and you may as well just give up.

Professor Layton games tend to take their time getting to the states, but his first 3DS outing could be coming next year. At the very least, Level-5 is teasing the 3DS game Mask of Miracle in Europe for next year, and Layton games tend to hit North America before the territory, so that gives us a hopeful sign.

Another recognizable face from Nintendo platforms is making the trek to iOS devices. Level-5 has announced a new game in Japan, titled Layton Brothers: Mystery Room. The company hasn't detailed the game or even shown a screenshot, but it promises "a new Professor Layton series experience" on iOS.
