Before you watch the E3 trailer for vampiric sneak 'em up Dark, remember that before vampires were adored by teenage girls struggling with awkward yearnings, the bloodsuckers were doted over by teenage girls struggling with awkward yearnings while wearing gobs of black eye liner. That's why it uses this song. So on with the show.

Prohibition was a dark time in American history. With booze outlawed, pinstriped-suited criminals engaged in bootlegging, racketeering, and other illicit activities. Kalypso Media and Haemimont Games, the team behind the Tropico series, are taking a piece of this action with their city-building sim, Omerta - City of Gangsters.

We're going to guess that RealmForge's new game, DARK, isn't going to be the most uplifting title. The developers of Dungeons are trying their hand at a new genre, moving away from strategy into third-person stealth-action.
Players assume the role of a vampire trying to uncover the secrets of the GeoForge Corporation. You'll hunt targets in a futuristic cityscape utilizing vampire-enhanced stealth skills.

"War never changes," is what the post-apocalyptic Fallout series touts as its sort of top-line motto. However, bitComposer, the developer behind the relatively recent Jagged Alliance: Back in Action, has taken a tact to the contrary, aiming to improve and update a number of the systems and gameplay pioneered in the original games, while staying true to the things that made previous entries such long-term hits among fans. The game delivers a strategic and protracted battle over the tropical region of Arulco that can be incredibly engaging in many ways--at least until the frustration caused by shortcomings of the AI and the new pause-and-play battle system start to stand out like snipers in neon ghillie suits.

The mafia sim will mix real-time mob empire management with turn-based tactical combat in what publisher Kalypso calls a "historically accurate representation" of 1920s New Jersey's glamorous Atlantic City.
