QUICKTAKE: Co-developers Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios are taking the Forza franchise in a bit of a new direction with "pick-up and play fun," while trying to keep the same authenticity that the series has been famous for. Forza Horizon takes to the roads of Colorado, a spot the developers chose because of the panoramic vistas, winding roads and open highways. Unfortunately, there wasn't too much shown in the demo, with a little bit of racing, a sneak peak at the hub of the game called the Horizon Festival and some Kinect voice commands that can aid the players in getting around the large open-world expanse.

Forza Horizon, the latest in the Xbox exclusive racing series, is coming to 360 on October 23, Microsoft just announced during its E3 press event. The game's been under wraps since it was announced in March, but a trailer revealed a little of what we can expect.

Forza Motorsport 4 is adding another 10 cars this April, with the "Alpinestars" pack. It features a set of cars spanning from a 1959 Cadillac to a 2012 Jaguar. You can try them out, since there is almost no chance you'll ever be able to afford all of them in real life.

A mysterious new Forza series spin-off is in development for Xbox 360, Microsoft revealed at its Spring Showcase. What Forza Horizon will actually bring is a mystery, though, as Microsoft had nothing to say about it and simply showed a tone-setting trailer made from stock footage. Come, let's watch it together and guess what the game's about.

The monthly DLC packs for Forza Motorsport 4 keep on rolling (cars can also be seen to roll, because they have wheels), with March bringing a grab-bag of automobiles from a vintage station wagon to snazzy concept cars. The 'March Pirelli Car Pack' is due next Tuesday.

A new month has dawned, and so approaceth a new round of Forza Motorsport 4 downloadable content. The 'February American Le Mans Series Pack' will add a strange and unusual mix of extra cars, including Le Mans racers, vintage rally cars, and a Dodge Challenger owned by UFC fighter Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson.

No fewer than ten new vehicles are headed to Forza Motorsport 4 on November 1 via a 'Speed Pack' DLC bundle. The list of additional cars includes a couple of classics and some current models, but also brings in brand new 2012 offerings from Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Dodge, and Ford (2013). If you're interested in adding the new choices to your virtual garage, the pack will run you 560 Microsoft Points ($7) when it launches.

Microsoft continues its battle for the checkered flag with Forza 4, poised to assert its claim as the king of the driving simulator hill once and for all against a growing market of steep competition.
It's been a titanic struggle, and Forza 4 comes out convincingly flexing its technical muscles. Speed is never compromised. No matter how fast, no matter how detailed the environments, the action flows across the screen in a steady stream. It's the constant which, together with the game's well-tuned controls, allows racing fans to lay down just the right line to take a car through a corner on the very edge of grip.

As promised, a demo for Turn 10's Xbox 360-exclusive race 'em up Forza Motorsport 4 is now available for Xbox Live Gold members. Accompanying the demo is a new trailer featuring professional curmudgeon and Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, here to tell us all that it's nice to making a brum-brum go zoom-zoom.

The downloadable content season pass is growing popular amongst AAA games, and Forza Motorsport 4 is the latest fueling the model. Microsoft today announced a $30 Season Pass covering six DLC car packs for Turn 10's racer, said to be 30% cheaper than buying them all individually.
