Fantasia: Music Evolved adds Cee Lo Green's 'Forget You' to tracklist

Fantasia: Music Evolved preview: dynamic duets

Fantasia: Music Evolved preview: dynamic duets

When Harmonix first announced its upcoming Microsoft console-exclusive music game, Fantasia: Music Evolved, a part of me wondered how the Rock Band and Dance Central creators would be able to capture the wondrous atmosphere created by the original Disney films. After all, Fantasia makes me think of bombastic animation enhanced by its eclectic soundtrack. It makes me think of artistic and musical creativity. Nine months later, Harmonix is revealing new details on its Kinect-controlled title, showing some new ways to exercise some of that creativity, alone or with a friend.

In a private demo during last week's Game Developers Conference, Harmonix and Disney Interactive invited Shacknews to check out some previously-unrevealed elements of Fantasia. In addition to demonstrating a new explorable area, Harmonix showed off how the game's two-player mode will work, before bringing me aboard to try it out.

Report: Disney Infinity to introduce Marvel, Star Wars characters

Disney Interactive is reportedly preparing to introduce two of its big recent acquisitions into Disney Infinity: Marvel and Star Wars. Disney abandons Star Wars 1313 trademark

It's been no secret that Star Wars 1313 has been frozen in carbonite since Disney acquired LucasArts. But Disney may have finally Force choked away any spark of hope that this game would ever see the light of day, as they allowed the Star Wars 1313 trademark to formally lapse.

Disney Magical World announced for April 11

Amid bits of 3DS boasts today, Nintendo announced that Disney Magical World will be coming to the 3DS on April 11. With a name like that, you might imagine harrowing adventures, but this one is a much simpler story about simply occupying the world and hanging out with Disney's wide cast of characters.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix trailer shows off revamped visuals

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix trailer shows off revamped visuals

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix is Square Enix's somewhat-predictable follow-up to the well-made 1.5 Remix. The upcoming PS3 compilation includes Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Birth By Sleep, and the cutscenes from Re:coded--all in HD, of course.

A new trailer from Japan's Jump Festa shows off how the HD remix is faring. Unsurprisingly, it looks much like the 1.5 collection, with puffy pants and giant zippers never looking better.

Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer shows off new abilities and enemies

Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer shows off new abilities and enemies

It still sounds like a dream. After years of portable spin-offs, Kingdom Hearts 3 is finally a real game. To prove that it's more than just an idea, Square Enix has released yet another trailer at D23 Expo in Japan, once again focused on gameplay. The new video shows off some of the new abilities and attacks Sora and the gang can use, while also showcasing the game's new enemies.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is due for PS4 and Xbox One, although director Tetsuya Nomura did warn that they may have announced it too early. Given Square Enix's penchant for protracted development times, this one could take quite some time.

Marvel Run Jump Smash! announced, coming to mobile this year

Marvel Run Jump Smash! announced, coming to mobile this year

In spite of billion dollar ticket sales, The Avengers never got a proper video game adaptation. That is, until now. In Marvel Run Jump Smash!, players will chase Loki through the streets of New York--just like in the movie!

Disney Interactive senior producer Phil Hong is careful not to use the term "endless runner," instead calling the game a "super-powered action runner." Unlike other games in the genre, you'll be able to switch between the different Avengers, each equipped with their own powers.
