Do you have a thirst for violence and/or historical accuracy? You're in luck! Today, The Creative Assembly debuted a new cinematic "gameplay" trailer for Total War: Rome 2, showing a fierce battle in Carthage.
The trailer takes place in 146 BC, when Scipio Aemilianus is sent to Rome to break a siege that has been going on for three years. One thing leads to another, and before you know it the battle is raging. The game is due in 2013, or MMXIII for you purists.

If you don't own an iDevice, you might have missed out on the mobile strategy title Total War Battles: Shogun. The game was a bit simplified from its PC counterparts, but it relied on the same core mechanics. It even came from the same team as the standard Total War series--and now, the game is available on PC and Mac via Steam.
