Master Chief Will Return in Halo Universe

At Comic-Con 2010, 343 Industries' Frank O'Conner revealed that "we haven't seen the last of Master Chief," in a statement given to IGN.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition Announced

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is to return in a downloadable 'Online Edition,' Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono announced this weekend during a panel at Comic-Con 2010.

Almost nothing is known of the title at this point. Ono explained that Capcom is "going to take [its] time to bring this out," saying that it is "not going to come out in the immediate future, but just let everyone know that Street Fighter 3 is coming back." Read more »

Street Fighter and Tekken Cross-overs Announced

Tekken and Street Fighter will collide in a pair of cross-over fighting games developed separately by the series' creators Namco Bandai and Capcom, it was announced at Comic-Con 2010.

Capcom unveiled its part of the cross-over, Street Fighter X Tekken, with a cinematic and a round of screenshots showing Tekken fighters brought into the side-on, faux-2D world of Street Fighter IV. Capcom did not announce when the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 fighter will be released. Read more »

Mega Man Universe Details Trickle out of Comic-Con

Though no gameplay footage has been released (via Joystiq) for the recently announced Mega Man Universe, some details have been revealed by Capcom's Keiji Inafune at Comic-Con 2010.

The title will most "preserve as much as we can of the classic 8-bit Mega Man feel," explains Infaune. "While allowing players to project their own Mega Man onto the game. We wanted to create a platform where players can play as their favorite version of Mega Man, another Capcom character, or maybe a different character completely. Space Combat Confirmed for Star Wars: The Old Republic

BioWare announced that space combat will be coming to its upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic at its panel at Comic-Con 2010. Though interested parties will have to wait until the October issue of PC Gamer (out August 17th) to see the first screenshots, the company was kind enough to describe it on the official forums.

Getting the Comic-Con festivities started a day early, Capcom has revealed four new characters for the upcoming fighter Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

Report: Maxis to Reveal Spore Action-RPG at Comic-Con

Street Fighter 4 Producer to Announce New Game at Comic-Con

Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono has been quiet since the release of Super back in April, but that is about to change. Ono is set to appear at and announce his new title at a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 24.

The official description for the panel is limited to the Street Fighter franchise, but it is strongly rumored to be a new Darkstalkers game. Ono hinted this in an interview with Shacknews back during GDC in March, when responding to a question about what his dream project would be. Read more »
