Further elaborating upon its declaration that "nothing is decided yet" regarding The Witcher 2 and DRM, developer CD Projekt RED has issued several statements on the matter, including a breakdown of its internal policy on DRM and patches.
CD Projekt RED internal DRM/patches policy- We believe that the chief way to achieve favorable sales of legal game copies is to establish the right relation between game price and product quality. Though Namco Bandai supports the idea of DRM that requires an active internet connection and will be distributing The Witcher 2 (PC) throughout Europe and Asia, developer CD Projekt RED tells fans that "there's nothing to worry about."
"Our distributors commented the Ubisoft-like DRM securilty solutions, and we're receiving a massive feedback about applying such in The Witcher 2," the company declared via Facebook.
