Syndicate Wars deploys to GOG

Don your trenchcoat and strap on your cyberleg, as finally both of Bullfrog's classic Syndicate games are on virtual shelves. The original Syndicate returned via GOG last January after years in the aether, shortly before the release of Starbreeze's Syndicate FPS reboot, and its sequel Syndicate Wars joined the party yesterday.

Theme Hospital now on GOG for $5.99

Though GOG recently branched out into selling new games too, it's still clearly committed to bringing gems back. Bullfrog's classic sim Theme Hospital is now on GOG at $5.99, bringing patients suffering from gigantic bloated heads or delusions of Elvis through your doors.

On Wednesday we announced 1993's cyberpunk RTS title Syndicate was the next addition our growing list of video game classics, presented by MobyGames.com.

Syndicate garnered a lot of respect among gamers and critics alike when it was released in 1993, thanks to its blend of deep strategic choices and real-time tactical combat. Similar in many ways to X-Com: UFO Defense, players of Syndicate could customize their squads in an RPG-like fashion, using the money they earned on missions to upgrade their agents, tools, and equipment. Syndicate presented players a memorable world: a vision of a dark future, in which all-out corporate warfare was the norm.

Syndicate classic hitting GOG this week

The Syndicate reboot is due next month, bringing some radical changes to the series for long-time fans. If you've never played the classic Syndicate complete with its isometric perspective, Good Old Games will give you that chance starting on Thursday.

Wing Commander, Dungeon Keeper 2 hit GOG

Good Old Games has resumed releasing classic Electronic Arts games after its short summer break, coming back with some great games. Today the virtuous virtual vendor of vintage games added Dungeon Keeper 2 to its catalogue plus a double-pack of Wing Commander 1 and 2.
