Molyneux's 'Cooperation' will be 'the biggest cooperative effort the world has ever known'

Peter Molyneux is using his new studio, 22Cans, to explore his infamous flights of fancy in game design. The first such experiment is the iPhone game Curiosity: What's in the Box, which will let users join in a global effort to unwrap a giant package, one layer at a time. Only one user will get to see what was in the box, and it will be up to that person to spread the word. Molyneux is expecting 21 more to follow, and he already has the second one in the works.

Peter Molyneux's Curiosity due in September

Imagine, if you can, that a Peter Molyneux game has been delayed. Ha ha! Oh, how we joke! But Curiosity, the first of his strange experiments at new setup 22Cans, really was delayed and is now due in September. I don't mind, though; I needed a little longer to save up for the $80,000 in-game chisel anyway.

Peter Molyneux's Curiosity spawns $80,000 DLC

Video gaming's favourite uncle Peter Molyneux unveiled the first fruit of his new company, 22Cans, at E3, and it's about strange as you'd expect. Curiosity is the first of 22 experiments into the psychology of players, based around chiselling away at a massive cube--and part of the experiment is selling a unique in-game chisel for £50,000 (around $78,000). Oh, Uncle Petey!
