PlayStation 3 Games Getting Motion Control Patch, Xbox 360 Games Probably Won't

With the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 both set to receive new motion-tracking controllers next year, it has been revealed that some existing PlayStation 3 software will be updated with enhanced control schemes via patches while Xbox 360 games probably won't.

flOw developer thatgamecompany has announced that its next downloadable project, Flower, will sprout in the PlayStation 3's online PlayStation Store come February 12.

In Flower, players twist and turn the controller to steer the wind and an ever-growing cloud of petals. Much like Katamari Damacy, new sections become available after collecting so many objects. Exploration and a sense of discovery play major factors, resulting in a surprisingly captivating, rather relaxing, and fun experience.

Flower Impressions: The Serenity of Blowing Petals

Flower is an odd game to describe. In fact, I'm not sure it's technically a "game" at all.

The downloadable PS3 title continues in the serene, calming atmosphere of thatgamecompany's PlayStatin 3 creature-eater life simulator flOw. Thus far, it seems there's no way to fail, no way to die. My two-level demo had no enemies whatsoever.
