There is a new Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne bonus map at the Blizzard Battle.net website. The map, called Rolling Hills, is recommended for 2v2 or 3v3 matches.

Warcraft 3 1.16 Patch

As noted on the Battle.net website, the Warcraft 3 1.16a patch has been released for the original game and the Frozen Throne expansion pack. The update offers several balancing changes. We have mirrors of the English, German and French patches on FileShack.

Warcraft 3 Patch Plans

The Warcraft 3 page on battle.net has been updated, mentioning that a new 1.15 patch for the game and Frozen Throne expansion pack will be released soon. Besides bug fixes and balance changes, the patch will also include an updated matching system, anonymous free-for-all play, and a new Neutral Hero - the Goblin Tinker. To celebrate Easter, Blizzard has released a new bonus map for Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne called Funny Bunny's Egg Hunt. The description: "Hunt for eggs on Bunny Island. The Easter Bunny will share his eggs if you can catch up with him. Be careful, though: the island hosts a gang of evil bunnies who will try to stop you".

The guys at Blizzard are hiring again, looking to fill several positions. We received an email mentioning that they are looking for a billing representative, a sound designer, an international in-game support lead, a 2D cinematic artist, and a quest designer.

Warcraft 3 1.13b Patch

Blizzard has released another Warcraft 3 patch, updating the game to v1.13b. There's only one change compared to the previous patch, "Fixed an issue related to copy protection", though there are plans for 1.14 already.

Warcraft 3 Bonus Campaign Q&A

There is a Q&A with Blizzard's Tim Campbell on PC.IGN. The level designer is asked about the bonus RPG orc campaign included with Frozen Throne and the recent 1.13 patch. The storyline and location of these extra acts will tie in with Blizzard's MMORPG World of Warcraft.

Paul from WarcraftIII.net let us know that Blizzard has released a new Warcraft 3 patch, updating the original game and Frozen Throne expansion pack to version 1.13. As promised Blizzard has released the Warcraft 3 art tools, allowing people with access to 3D Studio Max 4.0 to create, modify, and quickly preview models and animations that can be used in the game. You can find the plugins mirrored on FileShack.

As part of their Halloween celebration Blizzard has released a new Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne multiplayer map. Jack-o-Lantern is a medium sized 2v2 or 3v3 map.
