Robocalypse Brings Beaver Defense to WiiWare

Apr 07, 2009 4:27pm CST tags: Robocalypse - Beaver Defense, WiiWare, Vogster Entertainment, Screenshots
Continuing the age-old struggle between beavers and robots, Vogster Entertainment today revealed a downloadble Wii game titled Robocalypse - Beaver Defense.

Due out later this summer, the WiiWare download serves as the second entry in the Robocalypse franchise, which began on Nintendo DS in late 2008. Whereas the DS edition was more of a traditional strategy game, the Wii rendition focuses on the "tower defense" sub-genre, in which players place immobile units to defend against enemies.

"The story is hilarious and offers a fitting back drop for this fast-paced, tongue-in-cheek game where the player must thwart the plans of a maniacal beaver," noted producer Alan Martin. As with the DS debut of Robocalypse, the story was written by SpongeBob Squarepants veteran Jay Lender and Angry Beavers scribe Micah Wright.
