New screenshots of Virtua Tennis 2009 and PDC World Championship Darts 2009 today show the dangers of the outside world rendered safe in a box in your home.

Virtua Tennis 2009 will be served in May to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and as a download for PC. PDCWCD09 comes in June to the Nintendo DS and Wii.

Publisher Sega has put out some new screenshots from the PlayStation 3 version of Virtua Tennis 2009, highlighting the game's detailed faces and clothing.
PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii owners will have the chance to shamelessly conquer their opponents with love this May. While the console editions will be released to retailers, the PC version is due to arrive as a Games for Windows download.

A new edition of Virtua Tennis will be released this May, Sega announced today.

New this year is a fully integrated online ranking system for the series' World Tour Mode, and Sega also promises improved volleying, serving and net play, as well as player stumbling.

Virtua Tennis 2009 will feature on- and offline singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches, as well as Davis Cup play and a number of minigames that the series is known for. In those Court Games, don't be surprised to see "crocodiles, fruit and pirates."

Licensed players this year include Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams, Andy Murray and Ana Ivanovic.

The game will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and as a download for PC.
