Over at Voodoo Extreme I see that Epic will be releasing a new bonus pack for Unreal Tournament, free of charge, this weekend on UnrealTournament.com. What will it include?

- 2 new hi-res player characters with skins
- 10 new maps spanning 4 UT modes - Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, Domination and Team Deathmatch
- 2 updated UT maps ; a remixed version of the original Lament map and a slightly modified version of the infamous Facing Worlds map

Unreal Universe has four screenshots from the pack.

Ok so the Quake3 1.27 patch didn't make any difference for these guys, but there's still a new UnrealFortress out ;) Thanks Stomped. There is a new map included, but there are mainly a lot of bug fixes.

There are two new model shots on the Strike Force UT website, showing how the models have improved. Thanks Stomped.

PlanetUnreal has obtained four screenshots from the Dreamcast version of Unreal Tournament, which will be released in December. Two of the four images are loading screens though, but they've come up with some new art for it.

The Strike Force team have released 1.55 of their UT mod. It will now work with the 436 patch, there are new game sounds, there's a new hud, some changes to the netcode and a new speach feature.

There's a new patch for Unreal Fortress, which brings the mod up to build 199. There are several gameplay and weapon related items that have been fixed, and there is a new map to play on.

The UT: Tactical Ops page has been updated with some info and a screenshot of the next upcoming release of the mod. I finally checked it out last week, pretty damn cool mod.

It looks like UnrealTournament can not escape the wrath of programmers who enjoy ruining games for everyone. According to a report on Unreal Universe aimbots have made their way into UT.

The Unreal Technology has a release of a PKG utility for people creating things like skins and texture packages. The commandlet will import/export data from packages into/from directory structures.

There is a new version of the Unreal Fortress mod, which fixes a whole bunch of bugs related to gameplay, bots, weapons, grenades and equipment. Thanks Ryan Stotts. Here are some of the changes in this 13mb patch.

- Server Crash resolved
- Say/Team Say problem resolved
- Fixed adding armour value to health on flag capture
- Flag returns home if falls out of world (possible death with flag in skybox fix)
- Sniper laser dot in network fixed
- Flame thrower range and damage reduced a little
- Laser pointer 3rd person model scaled down and dot fixed

Loki's Daniel Vogel let us know he's released a new version of his Unreal Tournament OpenGL driver. This new version of the OpenGL driver adds the missing gamma control functionality and *should* work on all the videocards, and allows the use of the S3TC compressed textures from the 2nd UT CD with GeForce and Radeon based cards.

The mod week at Gamespy ends with a look at several Unreal Tournament mods. These are Dark Magic, Frozt, HeadHunters and AgentX.

Stomped has an interview with BrainFreeze of the Unreal Fortress team. This mod is due to be released tonight and the interview deals with the team's expectations for the mod, the unique features, atmosphere and elements of the levels and just why we should download it.

There is an update to the Unreal Technology page by Steven Polge with word on a fix for the v436 update that came out the other day. Apparently TNT/TNT2 owners are having some issues with the HUD.
