It appears that Ryo Hazuki's search for sailors has once again brought him to a foreign land, as the Shenmue star will be playable in Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing.

It may not be the long-awaited third entry in Yu Suzuki's epic adventure series, but at the very least you'll have another chance to race forklifts. And who knows, maybe Sonic or that monkey from Samba de Amigo will be able to help Ryo on his quest?... Read more

Torchlight Dev Diary: Action RPG All-Stars

As if the sight of Blizzard North co-founders Max and Eric Schaefer in this new Torchlight developer diary wasn't enough excitement for action RPG fans, you'll also find Fate and Mythos veterans including designer Travis Baldree and why, I do believe that might just be music by Diablo series composer Matt Uelmen.

Runic Games's singleplayer dungeon crawler receives a downloadable PC release on October 27 for $20, complete with the editor Runic used to create everything from its levels and quests to classes and monsters. A Torchlight MMO is planned to follow.

Dragon Age Devs Boast 'A Living World' in New Trailer

"They'll tell of the ancient Feraldens. They'll tell of the strife with the Devinter empire long ago. They'll tell of the great, wondrous battles that have taken place," says Dragon Age designer Ferret Baudoin of the game's environments in this short dev diary.

An interesting note is that the BioWare dev team used the Neverwinter Nights engine to prototype Dragon Age levels before finally crafting them for the final game.

I can't tell you about the ancient Feraldens, but I can tell you that Dragon Age arrives on PC and Xbox 360 on November 3, with the PS3 release following later that month.

Maurice Sendak's beloved children's novel "Where the Wild Things Are" has spawned more than just a Spike Jonze-directed feature film, it's also resulted in a video game. What, you don't believe me? Here's a trailer. Is that proof enough for you, punk?

The game arrives next week, same as the movie, with its PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii editions handled by Amaze and the Nintendo DS version coming from WayForward.

A Boy and His Blob Trailer: Huuugs!

New footage from the beginning of WayForward's Wii revival of NES puzzle-platformer A Boy and His Blob shows the Contra 4 developer can do cute as well as carnage, complete with scolding then hugging your adorable shapeshifting Blobolonian buddy.

Feeding Blob different flavours of jellybean will cause him to transform into tools to solve the puzzles encountered along your adventure, from Apple Jack to Caramel Cannon.

A Boy and His Blob arrives for Wii on October 13, published by Majesco.

Resident Evil 5 Trailer Explores New Mission

Last week, we got word that Capcom was planning to re-release Resident Evil 5. Yesterday, we got details on the new content. And today? Today, we have a trailer.

Packing support for the new PlayStation Motion Controller, Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition arrives on PlayStation 3 next spring in Japan. The new mission is also coming to Xbox 360 in some form, though Capcom says it's too big to be downloadable content.

Assassin's Creed 2 Media Stars Kristen Bell

To celebrate the revelation that Heroes and Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell will reprise the role of "Lucy" in Assassin's Creed II, publisher Ubisoft sent over two screenshots from the game itself and close to a dozen pictures of the actress in the recording studio.
The open-world assassination game, which sees the mysterious Lucy assisting Desmond as he uses a specialized machine to relive the genetic memories of his ancestors, hits PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 17 and PC next year.

Bayonetta Trailer Presses All the Right Buttons

New Bayonetta gameplay footage shows director and Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya wielding the controller to beat his way through an angelic brass band in MadWorld developer Platinum Games' absurd DMC-style action game.

The normal difficulty footage serves as a contrast to the entirely optional 'very easy automatic' mode, where all movement and attacks are controlled by a single button.

Bayonetta will arrive for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in January 2010, published by Sega.

Nostalgia-fest Ghostbusters: The Video Game has today been revealed for the PSP and PSP Go, handled by developer of the PlayStation 2 and Wii versions Red Fly Studios and due in November, with publisher Atari's press site listing a date of November 3.

The ghost-buster hit PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS2, Wii and DS in June, commended by reviews for capturing the spirit of the films but often criticised for lacklustre gameplay.
