No stranger to turning frowns upside down with its humorous delay announcements, publisher Atlus today revealed that four of its upcoming Nintendo DS and PSP games have been delayed as its central super computer has attained sentience.

The new release dates follow below:

Atlus further noted that the self-aware super computer now has "a hunger for manflesh" and is "plotting to take over the world," with an unnamed engineer adding that "every working day for us passes in constant fear, terror, and paranoia with the knowledge that our primary computer is now plotting to destroy us."

Portable Nostalgia: New 'Dark Spire' DS Title Offers Classic RPG Mode

Dec 18, 2008 4:41pm CST tags: The Dark Spire
Publisher Atlus has announced The Dark Spire, a Nintendo DS game that at first seems like a remake of a classic RPG. However, the truth is somewhat more unique.
Left, the "modern" view of The Dark Spire. Right, the "classic" view.
Released earlier this year in Japan under the name Genmu no Kiri to Ken no Okite, The Dark Spire is in fact a new first-person RPG that features both a modern and classic view mode. The modern view features detailed artwork and interfaces, while the classic mode's style evokes RPGs of yesteryear with simplified graphics of the same scenes.

Developed by Rondo of Swords creators Success, the game is set to hit the Nintendo DS on March 10, for an MSRP of $30.
