The Viper3D guys take a look at the recently released SystemShock2 demo that came out. Havent gotten to look at it myself yet but the consensus seems to be that it's the shiznat.

Here it is, the SystemShock2 demo for you to mess around with all weekend. Grab it from the guys at GameCenter if you're feeling saucy:

In the demo, you will start with a smattering of weapon skills, tech skills, and cybernetics. You can grow your character any way that you see fit. The full version allows you to build your character in the 3D character generation system. You can choose from three different branches of military service.

Ken Levine from Looking Glass Studios sent this word to Billy over at VE talking about the multiplayer patch action which they plan on releasing for SystemShock2 shortly after the original demo release:

The multiplayer patch for System Shock 2 will be available for a free download shortly after the release of the game and should be relatively small in size. One of the key reasons we delayed the patch was to incorporate some new, cool technologies, such as being able see the approporate weapons in the hands of the other player characters. We assumed that most people want to play Shock single player first and then move onto multi.
