WWII Online GONE GOLD!

May 22, 2001 6:47pm CST tags: Strategy First, Games: PC, Gone Gold
The game that everyone and their retired military dad will be playing WWII Online has just been announced as GONE GOLD! Thanks to Gonegold.com for the word.

Strategy First Inc., Cornered Rat Software and Playnet.com are pleased to announce that their highly anticipated massively multiplayer online game, World War II Online™- Blitzkrieg, has gone gold.
"We couldn't be happier about World War II Online's latest milestone, " says Don McFatridge, President of Strategy First. "We have been looking forward to this for some time now and are finally getting ready to bring this extraordinary title to gamers worldwide!"

Yay for the massive multiplayer revolution! The flow of these types of games in the works and being released doesnt seem to be slowing down anytime soon. It actually seems that a big percentage of developers deciding to make multiplayer games at all are leaning towards tacking on that 'massive multiplayer' thing. Does anyone get the feeling that just plane old 'multiplayer' without the massive is getting phased out or something?
