Computer & Video Games has this news post on S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, mentioning the game will support co-op..unfortunately not at release, as the feature is expected to be added by a patch. According to the story we can also expect a beta in a few months, before the game's early 2005 release.

Oblivion-lost.com has posted a new translated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Q&A which originally appeared in Russian at Kamrad.ru. Questions and answers are about the game's recently announced delay (decided on by THQ, the game isn't behind schedule), the state of the game (95% done), beta plans and various gameplay related things.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Delay

As part of their latest financial statement for the fiscal 2005 first quarter THQ today announced a delay for S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl. The game was originally scheduled for a late 2004 release, but that's been changed to a release during the first quarter of 2005. THQ does not want to launch the game against the likes of Halo 2 and thinks it will get a better opportunity to do well early next year.

Fan site Oblivion-Lost.com has gathered some S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl info, printed in a recent issue of the German GameStar magazine. Among other things its mentioned there will be a multiplayer beta test, and while GSC GameWorld still has a September release planned, GameStar thinks we probably won't see the game until 2005.

There's another translated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Q&A on the Oblivion-Lost.com forums, offering info on time adjustment, rain effects, the level editor, seeing your own legs and arms when you look around, breaking of glass and a few other game related items.
