As for the other two, nothing else is known except that they're both due later this year.

Trine PS3 Priced at Half of Retail PC Version (Update)

Jun 29, 2009 10:27am CST tags: Trine, PlayStation Store

Update: SouthPeak, which is publishing Trine PC in North America later this summer, just let us know that the North American release of Trine PC will carry a suggested retail price of $30 in lieu of the $40 price point set by international publisher Nobilis.

Original: The PlayStation 3 edition of Frozenbyte's downloadable platformer Trine will sell for $20, half the "official" international price of the PC version, publisher Nobilis has confirmed to Shacknews.

While the Nobilis-set "official price point" for Trine PC is $40, a price that several digital distribution outlets and European retailers currently list, digital distribution provider Steam is currently offering pre-orders of the game for $30. However, the Steam product page indicates that independent developer Frozenbyte is self-publishing on the service.

Though publisher Nobilis has yet to explain the substantial divide between the pricing of the PC and PlayStation 3 editions--a difference the development studio was apparently unaware of--Frozenbyte has already been defending the higher-than-expected PC price.

Noting that "[pricing] guidelines are set by our publisher," developer FB_Lauri took to the company's official forum to explain that "Trine is far from a game created by a solo hero developer (we have over 20 employees and Trine has contributions... Read more

EA Explains GameStop's 'Exclusive' Madden 10 Demo, Confirms Separate Public Demo (Updated)

Jun 17, 2009 11:23am CST tags: Madden NFL 10, Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Store

Update: The general Madden NFL 10 demo is slated for "late July," EA has clarified. We're also told that the public Giants vs. Cowboys demo will sport 1 minute quarters, not the previously reported 2 minute quarters, with the company apologizing for the confusion.

"We will also be issuing a demo via Xbox LIVE and PSN that features the Giants vs. Cowboys with 2 minute quarters," the company told us. "The GameStop demo is exclusive in terms of content. For example, the GameStop exclusive demo features a rematch of Super Bowl XLIII featuring the Steelers vs. Cardinals with 5 minute quarters."

We're checking in to see when the public demo will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The GameStop exclusive demo is expected "by the end of July."

The full version of the football game--in development for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and PSP--arrives in North American retailers on Friday, August 14.

No word yet as to if or when a downloadable Madden NFL 10 demo will be available to the general public, but we're checking in with Electronic Arts.
