SOE Interview 1

Aug 20, 2003 3:50pm CST tags: Planetside, Sony, Interview
Ok darn it here comes the parade of Sony Online interviews. Jason attended a recent press event and got to talk to quite a few people and ask questions that you guys came up with. To start things off here is a chat with Dave Georgeson from the PlanetSide team:

In a year and a half you'll look back at this and wonder how we sold it with this much content. I mean clerically, it's a huge world, it's never been done before, it's gigantic compared to the scope of everything else. But we have more ideas than we could possibly get time for. And it goes anywhere from near space to underwater to in the core of the planet to just all over the place and so yeah I think that this will be a game that people talk about for a long time. [snip]

Ask Sony Online Entertainment

Aug 06, 2003 10:58am CST tags: MMO, Planetside, Sony
Reposted from Monday (giving you another chance to submit questions): Sony Online Entertainment is going to be in NYC this Thursday for one of those swanky press events. Since it's practically in my back yard (but fortunately not, since my back yard is currently undeveloped and consists mainly of a giant pile of dirt) I will be attending, and will get a chance to check out their upcoming lineup of titles and speak with members of all of their respective development teams.

Here's where you guys come in. Since I'm not much of a MMORPG player, the only questions I'm going to be able to ask are the boring, general kind. But if you've got something to ask, post it here. I'm going to get to talk with members of the EverQuest Live, EverQuest II, Star Wars Galaxies, PlanetSide, EverQuest Online Adventures, Lords of EverQuest and Champions of Norrath teams. Post your questions in the comments, and I'll compile them all and take them with me on Thursday. Be sure to preface your question with the game title, so I can keep them all organized.

Maarten sez: Please keep the comments to real (and they can be critical if really needed) questions and not general trolls about the games.
