Sumo Digital's downloadable racer OutRun Online Arcade will arrive in the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade next week on Wedesday, April 15, publisher Sega has confirmed.

Priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10), the game features 15 courses and 6-person online multiplayer, including OutRun, Heart Attack and Time Attack gameplay modes.

Though OutRun Online Arcade was originally headed to both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it has since become an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive in North America. However, the downloadable PS3 version will still be released in Europe next Thursday.

Microsoft today announced the "Days of Arcade," a promotion that will deliver these seven downloadable Xbox 360 games across the six weeks beginning March 18:

• The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai / James Silva
• Flock / Proper Games
• Hasbro Family Game Night / Electronic Arts
• Lode Runner / Tozai Games
• Outrun Online Arcade / Sumo Digital
• Puzzle Quest: Galactrix / Infinite Interactive
• UNO Rush / Microsoft

Only two of those games have specific release dates at this time: EA's Hasbro Family Game Night arrives March 18, packing Connect Four, Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, Sorry! and Sorry! Sliders, and Proper Games' animal-herding game Flock follows April 8.

Originally announced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Sumo Digital's downloadable racer OutRun Online Arcade is now a 360 exclusive in North America, reports CVG.

The UK branch of publisher Sega confirmed that, though the PlayStation 3 edition will not hit North America, Europe will still receive both versions later this year.

No reason was given for the shift, with Sega of America yet to offer an explanation.

Sega's classic racing franchise OutRun will arrive as a downloadable PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release early next year, the company announced today. No pricing was given.

The downloadable game is being handled by Sumo Digital, the studio previously responsible for the console releases of OutRun 2 and OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast.
