More Screenshots of Girls in Bikinis Killing Zombies

Okay, I'm not sure if these are actually new, but hidden within D3Publishers' assets for Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad (Xbox 360) and Bikini Zombie Slayers (Wii) were a few screenshots we hadn't posted before. So here you go: more bikinis and zombies.

Left - Xbox 360. Right - Wii.

Developed by Tamsoft and said to be improved over their initial Japanese releases, the bloody bikini-centric budget games should be in North American stores tomorrow.

The Xbox 360 version, Bikini Samurai Squad, is priced at $40, while the Wii edition, dubbed Bikini Zombie Slayers--technically the sequel to Squad--will go for a paltry $30.

Oh, and good luck trying to buy either without some sort of social stigma. I felt slimy just asking Game Crazy if "that Bikini Samurai Squad game" was in. It was that or confusing the clerk with "Onechanbara" and then trying to spell it out. Either way, it's lose-lose.

With today being Halloween--and, apparently, heroine Onechanbara's birthday--D3Publisher has issued a new, celebratory trailer for Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers (Wii) and Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad (360), both due in early 2009.

Bikini Zombie Killers Hitting Xbox 360, Wii Same Day; New Screenshots Arrive

Aug 05, 2008 3:51pm CST tags: Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad, Screenshots, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers
Following up on yesterday's revelation that Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad (360) is coming to North America, D3Publisher has announced that both Bikini Samurai Squad and the Wii sequel Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers will arrive on the same day.

Beyond a vague "early 2009" promise, D3 did not specify when North American gamers will be graced with developer Tamsoft's take on barely legal zombie slaughter. Instead, the company provided screenshots from the Xbox 360 version, perhaps in an effort to distract its target audience with bikinis, cowboy hats, schoolgirls and the undead.

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers Coming to US; D3Publisher Reveals E3 Lineup

The bikini-clad heroine Onechanbara and her zombie-slaying antics will at long last debut in North America on the Wii early next year, D3Publisher has announced.

Titled Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers, the Tamsoft-developed title has players swinging, slashing and thrusting the Wii Remote to battle hordes of zombie enemies. Sisters Aya and Saki each have their own unique set of moves, with the game offering two-person co-op play.

This marks the first North America release of the series, which debuted in Japan as a Simple 2000 budget title on the PlayStation 2 and was later brought to the Xbox 360 and Wii. A live-action film based on the franchise was released in Japan last month.

Following its PlayStation 2 release, Onechanbara gained a cult following similar to that of Sandlot's giant monster-killing Earth Defense Force series, which likewise debuted as a Simple 2000 PS2 title before making its way to North America in Xbox 360 form.

Alongside the announcement, D3Publisher unveiled its E3 lineup... Read more
