NBA 2K10: Draft Combine Trailer Explains It All

As the downloadable NBA 2K10: Draft Combine debuted on Xbox 360 today and hits PlayStation 3 next week, September 3, publisher 2K Sports has offered up a trailer.

Narrated by the enthusiastic "2K Insider," the below video runs through the various features of the $5 download, which allows you to beef up a custom character through pre-season training in advance of NBA 2K10's full-fledged release on October 6.

NBA 2K10: Draft, Watchmen Hit XBLA This Week

With the Summer of Arcade promotion now over, Microsoft has stated that the next Xbox Live Arcade releases will be NBA 2K10: Draft Combine and Watchmen Pt. 2.
Both titles will be available for download this Wednesday, August 26, with Visual Concepts' character-building "test drive" of "NBA 2K10's new gameplay features" at 400 MS Points ($5) and Deadline's sadistic beat' em up going for 1200 MS Points ($15).

Not mentioned by Xbox Live programming director Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb was Blitz Games' downloadable beat 'em up Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao, which publisher Namco had previously slated for August 26 at a supposed price point of 1200 MS Points ($15). Will it make it this week? We'll try to find out and get back to you.

NBA 2K10: Draft Combine Brings Pre-season Training to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Store

While Visual Concepts' NBA 2K10 won't be available at retailers until later in the fall, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to get a head start on training custom players in September with the downloadable release of NBA 2K10: Draft Combine.

Priced at $5 (400 Microsoft Points), the game lets players build up their custom character with skill points through various drills and 5-on-5 skirmishes. Those custom characters can then be imported into NBA 2K10 once the game hits stores.
